Full Job Description

We are a Retail Company located in Port Shepstone that is seeking a Junior Bookkeeper/Creditors Assistant The successful candidate will render support to the Accounts Department.

Minimum requirements:

  • Matric certificate
  • Computer literate
  • Bookkeeping/Accounting tertiary qualification
  • Experience in Pastel accounting is essential
  • Microsoft Office skills (Proficient in excel)
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to effectively work in a team.
  • 2 to 5 years prior experience

Responsibilities (Not limited to):

  • Data capturing and processing of documents
  • Compiling monthly profit and loss reports
  • Compiling quarterly reports
  • Managing creditors and reconciliation
  • Capturing invoices on Pastel
  • Monthly bookkeeping function up to Trial Balance
  • General administrative duties

Job Type: Full-time

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Port Shepstone, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

  • Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Pastel Accounting: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Creditors: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Excel: 2 years (Preferred)
