Full Job Description
We are looking for an Assistant HR Manager to assist in overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes with strong recruiting experience.
Be the go-to person for all employee-related issues. This means that your duties will involve managing activities such as job design, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development and talent management.
Primary Job Duties, which include but are not limited to:
- Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
- Assists in the full hiring process of employees, including recruitment, interviews, verifying work-history and references, and liaising with recruiters.
- New Hire Orientations.
- Prepares new-employee files and timeously submits same to the payroll department for processing.
- Provide administrative support to the payroll department with the intention to eventually take-over. (Leave management, Employee Clockings, Deductions, Overtime, Nightshift etc)
- Administer/provide employee support for the benefit plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations.
- Ensure that employees accurately submit leave [Digital or Manual]
- Employee Relations investigation, support with discipline and follow up.
- Execute all employee termination procedures, including advising employees on their rights and any benefits to which they are entitled.
- Maintain records of personnel-related data in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements in respect of company standards and LRA regulations.
- Completes special human resources projects including setting timetables and schedules, conducting research, developing and organizing information; and analyzing time and cost issues; preparing reports.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising Senior management on needed actions.
- Assist managers and supervisors in performance management procedures.
- Develop employee training and development programs where required.
- Coordinates the administration of employee safety, occupational health, security, and workers compensation programs; Ensures compliance with all regulations.
- Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.
- Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization.
- Manage BEE & POPI compliance.
- Nurture a positive working environment.
- Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
- Taking minutes of meetings where required.
- Drafting of company letters and notices.
- Provide support to Senior Management where required.
Skills:
- Well spoken
- Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position
- Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices
- Tech savvy
- People oriented and results driven
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- Ability to handle data with confidentiality and take accountability
- Good organizational and time management skills

Salary: R 20 000-00 CTC P/M (Negotiable based on experience)
Availability: Immediate
Location: Highly preferable that the candidate is in the Westrand Area
