About us:
We’re a 2 director led progressive and dynamic accounting practice, with a small, friendly team of 7 based in the UK. Our firm has grown rapidly over the last few years. We have a varied and interesting client base who operate in a number of different sectors e.g. digital marketing, e-commerce, media, property, technology etc.
We’re now looking for another member to join our team. The main focus of the role will be preparing limited company accounts and corporation tax returns together with personal tax returns and sole trader accounts.
All our team members work from home as they prefer this and we believe this is more productive.
You’ll need very good internet connections – ideally 50MB or above together with a workspace able to accommodate a PC and three screens. Initially you will be required to provide your own hardware although we are willing provide hardware once the probationary period is completed.
About the role:
The role is interesting and varied and will include:
– Ensuring all deadlines are met and procedures are dealt with effectively
– Liaising with clients and dealing with any queries by email
– Preparing limited company and sole trader accounts and tax returns
About you:
You must have at least 3 years experience working in a bookkeeping or accountancy role. You’ll need to be able to prioritise work, particularly when it comes to managing strict deadlines.
Ideally you will be AAT qualified (or equivalent) with a very good understanding of double entry, practice procedures and accounts.
Preferably you’ll also have some experience of working with Xero and FreeAgent software.
It is vital that you are well organised and able to act on your own initiative as and when appropriate. You’ll also need to have an excellent working knowledge of excel, be very IT literate and willing to improve your existing skills (plus learn new ones) with our support!
An enthusiastic, can-do approach is an absolute must and you’ll also need a positive outlook and approach to work.
This is a full-time role, though we may consider part-time or flexible working for a suitable candidate. There is also scope for progression for the right person and you’ll get to deal with some great clients and handle interesting work.
Salary up to R35,000 per month + bonus, dependent on experience and qualifications and for the right candidate.
