We are looking to employ an efficient and multi-skilled Production specialist that is operations driven and can build stakeholder relationships internally and externally by always being focused and proactive in tasks. Strong understanding and background of Clothing industry. This candidate should be detail-oriented, pro-active, able to adapt and work with high volumes and pressure in production.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Production, planning, and coordination within Workwear
- Fabric & garment construction knowledge and operations
- Printing, embroidery, and outwork experience and stakeholder engagement
- Liaison among customers, production and departments on ordering, supplying and customising products as requested
- Trimmings experience and knowledge i.e., labels, cartons, poly bags, fasteners, press studs, and all other trimming items related to garment manufacturing to aid collaboration and prompt execution of operations
- Well versed and core duties with PPS and bulk sample approvals
- Assistant to the Workwear operations manager
- Fabric store recons, trim store recons, physical stock recons experience
- Forecasting forward cover trends from sales movements
- Monitor SOH movements on a daily basis
- Strong interest and engagement with trends and on garment manufacturing, planning, and coordination.
- Ensuring orders are created and processed accurately from beginning to end including on time deliveries
- Track and trace fabric & garment indents from origin to destination
- Production budgets and costs reports
- Carry out counting of inventory as and when required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-10 Years of experience in Production (PPE- Workwear)
- 4-8 Years of experience within a Warehouse – Receiving & dispatch operations
- 2-4 years experience with Isync BMS
- Proficient and experience with understanding and knowledge of standards, certifications, and testing within the workwear industry.
- Grade 12 (Matric Certificate)
- Recognition of prior learning (RPL and experience within Industry- Production)
- Intermediate to Advanced in MS Office 365
- Strong administrative skills – reading and writing English
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Innovative approach and customer-focused
- Detailed orientated and traceability skills
- Excellent people and organising skills to build relations with co-workers
- Can prioritise, multi-task and adapt to continuous changes in production
- Good decision-making skills and response to high-pressure situations
