Fitter at Profile Personnel

Fitter required for a reputable company based in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape

Requirements :
Grade 12 with Maths and Science

Trade Tested Fitter

10+ years’ experience in an automotive manufacturing industry

Valid Code 08 driver’s licence

Willing to work shifts

Ability to work, overtime including weekends

Able to make sound decisions within agreed parameters

Willing to mentor artisan assistants

Proven problem solving ability

Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience

Good communication skills

Understanding of press equipment, mechanical aptitude, and troubleshooting

Able to work independently

Responsibilities :
Ensure that daily work schedules, tool change schedules and preventative maintenance schedules prepared by the Maintenance Foreman, are effectively and efficiently implemented, minimizing machine downtime.

Fault finding and fault analysis, without supervision.

Identifying opportunities for improvements.

All basic mechanical repairs to production machines which include the stripping and servicing of machines, checking of bearings and drives and provision of lubrication to machines.

Completes tool changes when required.

Attends to problems relating to tool set-ups,

Assists in attending to breakdowns as per instructions from the Maintenance Foreman.

Draws parts required for completion of maintenance activities from the maintenance store and

Informs Maintenance Foreman when stock needs replenishing.

Assists with the installation of new equipment.

Provides input into annual maintenance planning.

Completes records (job cards, timesheets) – ODIN System.

Ensures adherence to safe working practices.

Adheres to good housekeeping practices whilst working on machines and in the workshop.

Reports any unsafe acts or conditions to Maintenance Foreman.

Ensure all HSE policies and procedures are in compliance at all times
