Senior Financial Accountant at Joubert & Associates

GrapeHub is a fast-growing fruit import & export company with offices based in Europe and South Africa. The company currently has an exciting opportunity (based in Paarl) for a Senior Financial Accountant for its group of companies. The successful candidate will report to the company’s Netherlands-based Financial Director.

Responsibilities:
Timeous and accurate monthly management accounts, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement and credit risk exposure reports

Budget and forecasting

Weekly credit risk exposure overview

Weekly cash flow planning, including Forex Management

Margin calculations and understanding of costing process

Monthly reconciliations, accruals and journals

VAT compliance

Year-end audit file preparation, including final trial balance, supporting reconciliations and year-end management account

Liaison with auditors to complete annual financial statements and income tax return

Reviewing and improving internal financial controls

Requirements:
Preference will be provided to individuals with a CA(SA) registration

Preference will be provided to candidates with post articles experience

Experience in the South African and European fruit industries will be beneficial

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Multi-tasking ability and ability to prioritise

Deadline-orientated

Well-developed communication and administration skills
