Our financial service/compliance/investment client in Fourways Sandton Gauteng is looking for a Financial Accountant with 2-3 years post SAIPA/SAICA or AGA(SA) articles experience.

Requirements:
Completed accounting finance bcom degree

At least 2-3 years’ post SAIPA/SAICA experience in a similar role as a Financial Accountant

Knowledge and experience on Sage Pastel, SAGE Pastel Payroll and/or sage one accounting, Xero

Meticulous and pays great attention to detail

Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Ability to work independently and in a team

Responsibilities

Financial Accounting – Reviewing of processed work and transactions

Reviewing, Updating and maintenance of accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial transactions

Compile and produce a variety of accounting reports

Financial Management – Reporting, analytics and complexed recons

Perform reconciliations of financial data between reports and other accounting information

Maintenance of asset register

Preparation of complexed monthly management accounts

Any other related accounting duties

Taxation – Calculation and submission of various taxes including PAYE, VAT, Income Tax

Auditing of tax calculations

Checking the disclosure of income and deferred tax balances
