General Information
Job title:
Intermediate Account Manager
Purpose:
To manage the business relationship between Travel Company and the client and to assist the clients in managing their total Travel expenditure whilst controlling costs and returning minimum required company profit. As the focal point of contact for each
portfolio client, the role is to understand and manage each individual client’s objectives,
using company account management strategy, tools and products.
Primary duties and responsibilities (KRAs)
1. The individual must be accountable for retaining and developing through a profitable growth model, our national accounts and identifying potential incremental business opportunities. The role includes the development of formal plans for continuous improvement and measurement in terms of travel management goals and objectives, customer service delivery and client relationships
2. Build and maintain effective working relationships with key procurement executives, travel bookers, travellers and preferred suppliers to optomise the success of the travel programme for the benefit of our clients and FCM.
3. Conduct detailed and effective implementation programmes within agreed timeframes. Liaise with other departments to ensure all client specific information and rates are loaded into system prior to start up.

Education and qualification:
Minimum requirements
Added advantage
Junior:1-2 Years Account Management Experience
Intermediate: 3-5 yrs account management
Experience looking after accounts with a minimum spend of R100m
Matric
Amadeus
National Diploma or Bachelor Degree
A proven track record
Strong relationship building skills both internally & externally.
Experience:
All technology Products and company preferred products knowledge and experience
Extensive Client/Account Relationship Management experience
In depth understanding of the Travel Industry
Microsoft (Excel,word,power point)
Power Point Presentations
Problem Solving
Sound financial knowledge in order to negotiate client fee models and understand margin per client at all times.
Ability to read and understand client MI reports and convert into presentable review
