As a Finance Manager – Statutory Reporting you will be responsible for:?

Financial Controls

Ensure financial information entered on the financial systems is accurate

Ensure effective and efficient functioning of the various sub systems

Ensure adequate segregation of duties are in place for all Finance systems within the role

Review segregation of duties regularly and update/change when necessary

Management Account Reporting

Produce monthly management accounts

Report monthly management account results to the CFO

Report monthly management accounts to shareholders

Monitor variances between actual results, forecast and budget and analyse reasons for variances

Deliver reports within required deadline

Statutory Reporting

Preparation of annual subsidiary financial statements

Preparation of annual consolidated financial statements and supporting calculations

Preparation of annual consolidated workings with resultant support calculations and journal entries

Preparation of business combination and PPA calculations

Reconciliation of management accounts to statutory records

Reconciliation of statutory financial statements to shareholder reports

Annual External Audit Process

Liaise with external auditors for successful audit completion for all legal entities

Preparation of all audit related files

Solve queries from auditors relating to management accounts

Self-management

Follow through to ensure that personal quality and productivity standards are consistently and accurately maintained.

Demonstrate consistent application of internal procedures.

Plan and prioritise, demonstrating abilities to manage competing demands.

Demonstrate abilities to anticipate and manage change.

Demonstrate flexibility in balancing achievement of own objectives with abilities to understand and respond to organisational needs

What are we looking for??

To qualify for this role, you should??

3-5 years’ relevant experience

Relevant Finance Degree/ PGDip- NQF level 8

CA (SA) Chartered Accountant

Financial acumen and Commercial acumen

Be extremely passionate about Financial Reporting

Strategic Thinking

Analytical skills

Computer literacy

Technical skills (including IFRS 3 & 9, internal controls, taxation)
