Full Job Description
Purpose: This position will assist the winemaking team in daily winemaking activities as needed; including but not limited to tank-to-tank transfers, additions, racking, maintain general cellar hygiene and administrative duties.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12
- 3 – 5 years relevant experience in a Cellar environment
- Working knowledge of Centrifuge and Crossflow filtration will be advantageous
- Valid Forklift License will be advantageous
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Good administrative and planning skills
- Good interpersonal relations
- Participation in the multiskilling program
- Appropriate knowledge of the winemaking process
- Positive, energetic and results driven individual
- Willingness to work overtime, night shift and over weekends when operationally required
JOB SUMMARY:
- Wine Cellars activities
- Administrative duties
- General Cellar work
- Health and Safety management and compliance
- Housekeeping with regards to ISO and HACCP requirements
- Ensure that assigned work is kept neat and clean
