Full Job Description
Purpose: Maintain accurate and timeous financial records together with Budget and Forecast processes within Wine Cellar. Manage variance analysis and ensure appropriate improvements are executed. Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and accounting policies, inventory control, customs & excise duties and procedures within Operations. The incumbent should ensure that the Financial Manager: Operations is informed on all financial matters for effective decision making and alignment across Operations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification
- 5 years’ experience in a financial role within a Manufacturing environment
- Sound knowledge of Standard Costing
- Excellent computer literacy (MS Office and SAP)
- Knowledge of Customs and Excise advantageous
- 3 year’s people management skills

Job Summary:
- Compiling of weekly and monthly management reports
- Review of cost management and enforce accountability
- Preparing and driving of the yearly Budget and Forecast process for Wine Cellar
- Monitoring and reporting on Operational- and Capital expenses – Actual vs Budget
- Variance Analysis and reporting on Price-, Production- and Inventory Variances
- Ensuring timeously closing of Production orders
- Maintain CSA system for all of Operations
- Inventory Control – Monitoring and reporting on inventory procedures/controls, stock takes and cycle
- counts for all of Operations
- Assist Grape and Wine Procurement team with annual purchasing mandates, reports and standard prices for new vintage materials
- Coordinate external auditors’ inventory count at year end and assist in audit queries relating to Operations
- Review of Bill of Materials (BOMS)
- Implementing and monitoring of policies and procedures
- Implementing new cost saving initiatives
- Ensure Wine of Origin (SAWIS) WOL (DAFF) documentation (bulk and packed product) are up to date
- Staff Management and ensure the goals and deliverables of team is met
