Reporting Accountant at IMCD

Supporting the growth of the company, we want to extend the Finance Team with the addition of a Reporting Accountant. The position will report into the Financial Manager and will be responsible for maintaining the financial records of IMCD South Africa and subsidiaries, as well as providing accurate and reliable financial information to the business operations. Back up function to the Financial Manager.

Person Profile: Targeted Skills & Capabilities

Financial degree or similar qualification

International reporting experience

Working knowledge of the following: SAP or JDE, VIP People 300 Payroll, BEE123, Tableau or QlikView, Hyperion, Snowflake and/or OneStream

Caseware

Advanced Excel skills

The position is responsible for:
Financial Reporting: Preparation of monthly and annual reports in Group reporting systems, Preparation of monthly management accounts, preparation of quarterly forecasting, Preparation of first draft Annual Financial Statements, compliance with IFRS.

Monthly general ledger reconciliations and creditors’ reconciliations

Full accounting function for the subsidiary Chemimpo

Payroll back up

BBBEE: Monthly reporting, scenario planning an optimisation of scorecard elements, preparation for audits

Sustainability Reporting

Finance Support to the business

Risk Management

Expected Qualification/Education:
Financial Degree with experience in an multinational company

Work Experience:
Relevant working experience of at least 15 years in an international environment
